Yiannis Taloumis, on one of his trips to Colombia, namely Tolima and Monroy Farm, found the difficulty of transferring mature coffee cherries from the farm to the process station and the urgent need to resolve the issue. The transportation of the coffee cherries, until now, was still carried out in the traditional way either by humans or by mules. Now it is based on new data using modern technology!
The project for the construction of the lift was already planned and partly implemented, but there were no funds needed to complete it. Thus, taf undertook to finance the completion of the project, amounting to almost 50% of the total construction cost. Taf’s relationship with this farm is long-lasting and, in the search for unique coffee profiles, each year receives about 80% of their total production.
