Taf team returned from World of Coffee Events that took place in Rimini, from the 9th to the 12th of June 2014!
During World of Coffee Events, taf had the opportunity to meet new people from the coffee business who visited us at the SCAE Village. Taf had also the chance to meet its close business partners from abroad with which we have built long term cooperation!
In our stand at the SCAE Village, visitors tasted coffees from the coffee producer Ninety Plus, and more specifically natural coffees from Ethiopia as well as the Geisha variety from Panama. We also served microlots from Costa Rica – La Bandera, Granitos de Ortiz and Finca El Pilon – and coffees from the Neighbours and Crops line of La Palma y El Tucan in Colombia. The owner of La Palma y El Tucan, Elisa Madrinan with her husband Felipe were also in Rimini with the whole taf team!
At the same time during World of Coffee Events taf served Espresso Competition blend at the WBC Daterra Bar as well as the coffee Nekisse Suntable 8 (Ethiopia) from the coffee producer Ninety Plus at the WBC Brew Bar!
On Wednesday the 11th of June taf served the Espresso Competition blend at Rancilio Stand and on Thursday the 12th of June taf served the single estate coffee Baquelito from Guatemala at La Marzocco Stand.
An important moment was the awarding of Yiannis Taloumis from the Specialty Coffee Association of Europe (SCAE) with the Coffee Excellence Lifetime Achievement Award, a recognition for his dedication to the continuous search of high quality coffee.
Finally, for one more year taf supported World of Coffee Events and particularly the World Brewers Cup as a coffee sponsor as well as the World Cezve Ibrik Championship!
