El Pilon Mokka best espresso in TISCA
A great new award for Taf by International Speciality Coffee Association in Taiwan. Taf’s El Pilon Mokka was awarded as the best espresso, winning the first place among important roasters around the world. All the participants had won a national first place in barista championships of their countries, so the competition was hard.
The coffee is a gem of Costa Rica and its variety Mokka was cultivated in the farm El Pilon for the first time. El Pilon Mokka of Leon Cortez, Tarrazu, grows at 1600- 1750 m. and has natural process. After the skillful roasting in our roastery, gives a unique cup with notes of dried fig, black cherry and sugar cane, while its most important feature is a perfect balance. The shot that won the first place was of 20 gr. of coffee, in 23 sec. extraction and 38 gr. out.
