Helsar Magdalena - Costa Rica

Micromill Helsar started in 2004 and belongs to the family Peres & Barrantes. It is located in Liano Bonito microregion in the area of Alajuela, Naranjo In Costa Rica. Currently they process Caturra, Catuai, Villasarchi and Villalobos while in the future they will also process Geisha and SL28 varieties.

The total production of the mill is 2500 bags.

The farm Magdalena is just 5 hectares, a relatively small farm. The soil is volcanic and thy grow the coffee varieties Caturra and Villasarchi.

The processing of coffee that grows in the farm Magdalena takes place at the Helsar mill and the processing method used is fully washed.
